Police Region South is organized into five police areas: Blekinge, northeastern Skåne, Kalmar Kronoberg, Malmö, northwestern Skåne, and southern Skåne, which are further divided into 20 local police areas. Additionally, there are four regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and border police, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations. Police Area Southern Skåne is one of the police areas in Region South, covering 16 municipalities. Police Area Southern Skåne is divided into five local police areas: Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund, Trelleborg, and Ystad. Within the police area, there is also an investigation section, an investigative journal section, and a local office.
We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented passport officer for Police Area Lund. As a passport officer, you have an important societal function where you are the face of the Police Authority and sometimes the visitor's first contact with the police.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in providing service and working with people. The work as a passport officer involves making administrative decisions, which places high demands on your accuracy and judgment. The workload can be uneven and at times high, which means that decisions may need to be made under time pressure but with the same good quality. As the face of the police, it is required that you are professional with an open and helpful attitude.
Your main tasks include handling applications for passports and national ID cards. The role will also include:
- Handling lost property
- Answering incoming calls and emails
- Receiving reports
- Weapon and ammunition cases
Other tasks may also occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Complete high school diploma
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good ability to express yourself in English, both spoken and written
- At least 2 years of experience in service work where the main tasks involve personal meetings and administrative tasks
- Good computer skills, which means being able to handle multiple systems simultaneously
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Further education at the post-secondary level in a relevant field
- Driving license B
- Language skills beyond Swedish and English
We are looking for someone with a high service awareness who enjoys a role that requires a pleasant and pedagogical approach. In addition, as a representative of the Police Authority, you are expected to act professionally with good judgment, which should be reflected in your attitude and interaction. You are meticulous, structured, and value high quality in your work. The role requires you to be flexible while also having the ability to prioritize when the situation demands it. Since the work often involves changes in pace, you need to be resilient and stable in stressful situations. You will work independently as well as together with your colleagues within the group and the authority. Therefore, we are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
